on one end.

the entire Universe fell asleep, all at once.

and then you woke up.

and you.

...and you.

it was like you had allowed us all to glimpse into your brain for a moment. your immediate thoughts that was weary, frustrated, tired. i was about to fall asleep with the rest of the world, but You kept me awake. for you. and you. ...and you.

little thoughts, with words that pierced my heart as i read them one by one. i couldn't do a thing. i couldn't interfere. it wasn't in my authority, or right, or power, or situation, or position, to do so. i just couldn't.

so it went on for a while, me reading your thoughts in cold silence. me staring at the computer screen, watching the screen refresh on its own hastily. me being on this end of the line, knowing that i couldn't help. knowing that i shouldn't interfere.

and then it stopped.

and all this while, i was saying a prayer for you. and you. ...and you.

that you'll get through this.
